DOGE is an open-source cryptocurrency created by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer based on the popular Shiba Inu dog meme. DOGE has an uncapped limit supply so new coins can be mined endlessly. The idea behind the creation of Doge was to create a fun, engageable currency that would reach an audience different from Bitcoin’s. In 2014 the founders changed the reward system for DOGE mining from a random distribution to a fixed sum of 10,000 doge for every block mined.
